Silicon Metal 3303 is a semi-metallic element that looks silvery-grey and has a high melting point (1414°C). For example, adding 7-12% silicon to aluminium alloys (used in aerospace, automotive, and construction) makes them easier to cast by reducing shrinkage defects and increasing tensile strength. In steel, it is an important deoxidiser, getting rid of the oxygen that can make steel brittle.

We use special tests that use light to check for other materials (such as iron, aluminium and calcium). This makes sure that the levels of these materials are exactly what you need.
