Ferrovanadium Description
Ferro Vanadium, also known as Ferrovanadium or FeV, is an iron-vanadium alloy mainly used to introduce vanadium into steel. Our published grades include FeV40, FeV50, FeV60 and FeV80, with different vanadium content and impurity limits.
Application
Ferro Vanadium is mainly used as a vanadium-bearing alloy addition in steelmaking. It is used in low-alloy steel, structural steel, spring steel, tool steel and other vanadium-containing steel grades. The suitable FeV grade should be selected according to the required vanadium addition, steel chemistry and the permitted levels of residual elements such as Al, P, Si and C.

Before ordering: Please confirm the required FeV grade, vanadium content, maximum impurity limits, particle size and packing. If your steel specification also controls elements not listed in the table, include the required limits in your inquiry.
When comparing FeV40, FeV50, FeV60 and FeV80 quotations, compare the actual vanadium content together with the chemical specification, particle size, packing and delivery terms rather than comparing the alloy price per tonne alone.
For receiving inspection, check the batch COA against the agreed grade and chemical limits, and confirm the particle size, net weight, packing and batch identification with the order specification.
For quotation: Please provide the required FeV grade, particle size, quantity, packing, destination port and any special limits for Al, P, Si, C or other elements.
