Ferromanganese is great at this, and it can cut the amount of harmful elements in steel and make it better quality.In the steel industry, 3 to 5 kg of 75% ferromanganese is used for every ton of steel produced.
2. Foundry industry: You can add ferromanganese to cast iron to make it more ductile, and it stops carbides from forming. It also makes graphite precipitate, reduces the spheroidization time, and reduces the amount of impurities in molten iron. This improves the quality of cast iron and makes it perform better. It also stops the melting furnace nozzle from clogging, which makes the melting furnace last longer.
3.Other industries: High carbon ferromanganese or manganese alloy is used as a reducing agent in the ferroalloy industry to produce low carbon ferroalloy. Ferromanganese powder can be used as a slurry in ore beneficiation and as a coating for welding rods in the welding bar industry. High manganese ferromanganese can be used to prepare pure manganese for semiconductors in the electrical industry and can be used to produce manganese ketone in the chemical industry.
