Ferrosilicon 45 Lumps

Ferrosilicon 45 is a low-silicon grade of ferro silicon alloy, with typical Si content around 43–47%. As part of the ferro silicon product family, FeSi45 is mainly used to adjust the silicon content in molten steel and support deoxidation during steelmaking.

In the steelmaking process, silicon in ferro silicon has a strong affinity with oxygen, helping reduce oxygen content in molten steel and improve the stability of steel composition. At the same time, ferro silicon can also work as an alloying material to improve selected steel properties according to the production formula.

Compared with higher-silicon ferro silicon grades such as FeSi72 and FeSi75, Ferrosilicon 45 is usually selected when buyers need moderate silicon addition, cost control or specific metallurgical formula requirements. For practical purchasing, buyers should confirm the required Si content, lump size, impurity limits, order quantity and destination port before quotation.

FeSi45 chemical composition can be adjusted according to buyer requirements. If you have special limits for Al, Ca or other impurities, please confirm them before quotation.

Compared with higher-silicon ferro silicon grades such as FeSi72 and FeSi75, FeSi45 is usually selected when buyers need lower silicon content, cost control or specific formula adjustment.

Steelmaking

In steelmaking, FeSi45 lumps can be used to adjust silicon content in molten steel and support deoxidation.
