Products Description

 

Microwave heating was used for the solid-phase decarburization of high-carbon ferro chrome powder. Calcium carbonate powder was used as a solid decarburizing agent, mixed in ratios based on the molar ratio of carbon from the high-carbon ferrochrome powder to the CO2 produced by the complete decomposition of calcium carbonate powder at 1:1 and 1:1.4. The high-carbon ferrochrome powder with internal calcium carbonate was heated to different temperatures in a microwave field and kept at those temperatures for a certain time to promote decarburization, after which its carbon content was measured and the apparent activation energy of the solid-phase decarburization reaction was calculated. Increasing the proportion of internal calcium carbonate correspondingly improves the decarburization rate of the material, but the heating rate of the mixed materials during microwave heating decreases; for materials with the same decarburization molar ratio, as the decarburization temperature increases and the holding time is extended, the decarburization rate of the material also increases. When holding at 1200°C for 60 minutes, the decarburization effect of the material was best under both molar ratios, with decarburization rates of 65.56% and 82.96%, respectively. The microwave field can promote the activation diffusion of carbon in high-carbon ferrochrome powder and the adsorption diffusion of CO2. A kinetic study of the solid-phase decarburization of high-carbon ferrochrome powder using microwave heating was conducted. Calcium carbonate powder was used as a solid decarburizing agent in the same conditions as mentioned earlier.

1.Ferro chrome:under the conditions of a coke powder usage of 8.0%, a mixture moisture content of 8.0%, 3% addition of Bentonite A, ignition temperature of 1100±50℃, ignition time of 2 minutes, ignition negative pressure of 5000 Pa, sintering negative pressure of 10000 Pa, cooling negative pressure of 5000 Pa, cooling time of 3 minutes, and a layer height of 580 mm, the chrome ore sintering yield is 73.16%, the utilization coefficient is 1.17 t·m^(-2)·h^(-1), the drum index is 61.03%, and the solid fuel consumption is 115.80 kg·t^(-1). The conventional sintering process has problems such as low yield of sintered ore, poor strength, low sintering utilization coefficient, and high solid fuel consumption.
