Calcined Petroleum Coke Description
Calcined petroleum coke (CPC) is produced through the calcination of raw coke. Calcination is defined as the process of heating materials to high temperatures. In this process, the moisture content of the raw coke is removed. Its appearance is that of a black or dark grey honeycomb structure, which belongs to the easily graphitisable carbon class. Calcined coke is produced by subjecting raw coke to calcination at a temperature of 1300°C.
