Calcined Petroleum Coke Description
Calcined petroleum coke carbon additive is also known as carbon additive, calcined coke, or petroleum coke. The calcined petroleum coke carbon additive sold by our company is made from green coke, which is calcined in a calcining furnace at a temperature of 1250°C. This effectively removes harmful substances from the product, reduces the volatile matter and ash content, and then undergoes processes such as crushing, sieving, and packaging. It is grey-black in appearance and granular in form. It is porous and can be processed into products of different specifications, such as 1-5mm, 0.2-1mm, 0-1mm, etc., according to customer requirements. Calcined petroleum coke is produced by calcining and purifying raw coke. It has a round or polyhedral appearance and is characterised by its high carbon, low sulphur and low ash content. The calcined petroleum coke produced by our company has a high carbon content and low sulphur content. The main uses of calcined petroleum coke are as prebaked anodes and anode paste for electrolytic aluminium, as a carburising agent in the carbon industry, in the production of graphite electrodes, in the smelting of industrial silicon and as fuel.
