Silica barium inoculant is a kind of metallurgical material in the form of a block, which is made by mixing silica powder and barium powder in a required proportion and then smelting them in a high-temperature furnace. It is an additive in the casting process of a foundry. It has the characteristics of promoting graphitization, reducing the tendency of white mouth, improving the shape and distribution of graphite, increasing the number of eutectic groups, and refining the matrix structure. It has a good effect in a short period of time (about 5-8 minutes) after the inoculation treatment.
Si-Ba inoculant (long-acting inoculant) composition: Si: 68%-72%, Ba: 2%-5%, Ca: about 1.5%;
