Metallurgical Grade Silicon-Carbon Alloy Description
Si-C alloy is a new type of alloy used in converters and is commonly referred to as silicon-carbon alloy or high-carbon silicon. It is able to replace ferrosilicon, silicon carbide and carbon deoxidizers, thereby reducing the need for a deoxidizer and increasing its efficiency in the deoxidation alloying process of converter smelting. As a result, a more stable effect is achieved, and the chemical composition, mechanical properties and quality of internal control are better than traditional processes.
