HC Silicon Description
High carbon silicon is a new type of composite alloy deoxidiser that is cheaper than other types of deoxidisers. It can replace traditional deoxidisers such as ferrosilicon powder, calcium carbide, carbon powder, alloy powder, etc. High carbon silicon is stable and effective for deoxidation. It reacts with oxygen in molten steel to form steel slag, which deoxidises the steel. High carbon silicon can replace some recarburisers, reducing the cost of steelmaking.
High carbon silicon is used to deoxidise ordinary, alloy and special steels. It can replace other deoxidisers, stabilising chemical components.
Using high carbon silicon as a deoxidiser in steel smelting can shorten the reduction time, reduce power consumption and improve efficiency.
Decomposing and oxidising high carbon silicon in the converter generates heat, increasing furnace temperature and pressure and allowing deoxidation and desulfurisation.
