Metallic silicon
Metallic silicon, also known as crystalline silicon or industrial silicon, is a product produced by smelting quartz and coke in an electric furnace. Its main component is silicon, which accounts for about 98% of the content, and the remaining impurities are iron, aluminium, calcium, etc. The properties of metallic silicon are similar to those of germanium, lead and tin. It has semiconductor properties, but is insoluble in acid and soluble in alkali at room temperature.

Metallic silicon powder is a powdered form of metallic silicon that is the same composition as lumpy metallic silicon.
Metallic silicon powder has a silvery-grey or dark grey appearance and a metallic luster.
The particle size of metallic silicon powder is usually between 10 and 100 microns. During processing, metallic silicon powder with different particle sizes may be produced due to different production processes and requirements. Generally speaking, the larger the mesh count, the finer the particle size; the smaller the mesh count, the coarser the particle size.
