Molybdenum-rhenium alloy is an alloy composed of tungsten as a matrix and different contents of rhenium element. Molybdenum and rhenium are both refractory metals. By combining the two components, the molybdenum-rhenium alloy has the high-temperature physical properties of rhenium, the good mechanical properties of molybdenum, and the inherent excellent properties of the molybdenum-rhenium alloy.

The rolling deformation can reach 90%. Adding 47.5% or 41% rhenium to molybdenum forms a molybdenum-rhenium alloy (nominal composition is 50%Mo+50%Re), whose ductility, welding performance and formability are greatly improved. Even after high temperatures, molybdenum-rhenium alloys maintain good ductility. Molybdenum-rhenium alloys are widely used in the electronics, nuclear and aerospace industries.

Due to its excellent high-temperature properties, molybdenum-rhenium alloy has different applications in components used in high-temperature fields and in temperature measurement. mainly include:
Aerospace: Molybdenum-rhenium alloy is used in high-temperature components and temperature measurement systems, structural materials, space reactor heating tubes, etc. in the aerospace field.
Electronic industry: electronic probes, targets.
Semiconductor industry: Molybdenum-rhenium alloy is used in high-temperature components and thermocouple wires in equipment used in the semiconductor industry.
Industrial furnace: high temperature furnace heating element.
