Electrolytic manganese pertains to the process of utilizing manganese ore to generate manganese salts through acid leaching, followed by the isolation of metals via electrolytic cells. The physical characteristics of electrolytic manganese include a jelly-like consistency and irregular flake formation. It exhibits a strong and brittle nature, with one side displaying a shiny appearance while the opposite side is rough. The color ranges from silver to brown, and it can be processed into a silvery-gray powder. This material is prone to oxidation when exposed to air and can be dissolved and replaced by dilute acid.
