High Level Material Ferro Vanadium

Ferro vanadium is an important intermediate alloy used in the production of tool steel and heat-resistant steel, and is currently mainly produced using the aluminothermic method. The process and technology of aluminothermic reduction for producing iron alloys, as well as the quality of raw materials, calorific value, aluminum coefficient, reaction time, blowing time, and blowing quantity, are key process parameters that affect the recovery rate and aluminum content of the product, and each of these parameters has a different impact mode on them. This can be directly used to guide the improvement of production processes.

1.The strength of HRB500 rebar produced with vanadium-nitrogen alloy is significantly improved, and the effect of refining the grains is better than that of ferro vanadium. With the carbon equivalent and vanadium content in the steel basically the same, the addition of nitrogen promotes the precipitation of V(C, N) compounds, and the large amount of small dispersed V(C, N) precipitates is the main reason for the increase in strength of vanadium-nitrogen alloy steel. To ensure the mechanical properties of the raw rebar are qualified, increasing nitrogen in the rebar while controlling the vanadium content at 0.05% to 0.06% can result in higher strength and more stable performance of the rebar. Therefore, using vanadium-nitrogen alloy to produce HRB500 rebar can reduce the amount of vanadium added, significantly lowering production costs.
