80% Min Ferro-vanadium is an iron alloy composed of vanadium and iron, as well as minor elements including sulfur, phosphorus, silicon, and aluminum. The alloy is obtained by reducing vanadium pentoxide with carbon in an electric furnace or by thermal reduction of silicon in an electric furnace. It is commonly used as an additive in the production of vanadium-containing alloy steel and alloy cast iron, and in recent years it has also been applied in the production of permanent magnets.
