Products Description
The smelting process of producing 65%-75% high ferro titanium using the aluminothermic method with rutile as raw material has undergone three stages of testing at 20kg (100kg), 200kg, and 500kg levels, achieving better process technical conditions and indicators. It produced high titanium iron containing 73.77% titanium, with a titanium recovery rate of 78.83%. The use of rutile as raw material for the aluminothermic smelting of high titanium iron is technically feasible.

1.A method for preparing high ferro titanium with a titanium content of 65% to 75%. Firstly, aluminum thermal reduction is used to obtain a high-temperature molten titanium iron, and then the uncooled high-temperature molten metal is subjected to vacuum melting. The reducing agents for aluminum thermal reduction smelting and vacuum induction melting are composite reducing agents and blended slag system materials. The reaction is initiated by ignition from the bottom during smelting, and metallic magnesium powder is blown into the high-temperature molten metal for deep deoxygenation during the smelting process. It is necessary to supplement Fe in the vacuum induction melting stage. The goal is to address the current problems of high oxygen content in metal thermal reduction methods failing to meet user demands, which limits the use of high titanium iron, as well as the limited sources and high production costs of raw materials for remelting.
