Ferro Titan Description

Ferro Titan is an alloy of iron and titanium. It is used in steelmaking as a cleansing agent for iron and steel. FeTi can be manufactured by the mixing of titanium sponge and scrap with iron and melting them together in an induction furnace.

The Applications of Ferro Titan

FeTi is used in steel and stainless steel processing units for the production of low carbon steels and as a stabilizer to prevent formation of chromium carbide at grain boundaries.

FeTi is used as additives in the production of special steel and flux-cored wire.

FeTi finds use in military as well as commercial aircrafts.

FeTi is used in products, like varnishes, lacquers and paints.

FeTican be added to the molten metal together with titanium in foundry to impart strength to it without changing other ratios.
