65# Fe Silicon Lumps

The 65# Fe Silicon Lumps production process is based on the reduction of silica. 65# Fe Silicon Lumps are used as deoxidizing and alloying additives for the smelting of electrical, spring, corrosion, and heat-resistant steels. Increasing the silicon content in 65 Fe Silicon reduces its density. Silicon increases steel hardness, tensile strength, elasticity and fluidity limits, increases oxidation resistance, and reduces energy losses.

Ferrosilicon 65 is supplied in pieces weighing no more than 25 kg, in ingots weighing no more than 45 kg, and in the form of crushed sifted particles.

Remark: Specification and size can be optimized per customer's requirement.

Ferrous metallurgy is the main application of 65# Fe Silicon Lumps, with the product being used both to remove oxygen from steel and as a reducing agent. The high silicon content in the ferroalloy (63-68%) reduces its density and increases the hardness of the final alloy. Therefore, when used as an additive, it is possible to obtain high-strength steel that is resistant to tearing and oxidation.

65# Fe Silicon Lumps are produced in the form of briquettes (up to 10 cm thick), pieces (with a maximum weight of 25 kg) and small particles (packaged in accordance with current standards). The finished raw material contains no mechanical impurities, with the exception of minor traces of graphite and sand.
