99.7% 50-100mm Silicon Metal 1101

The production of high-grade Silicon Metal 1101  primarily involves the reduction of high-purity quartzite (SiO₂) in submerged arc furnaces using carbon-based reductants such as charcoal, coal or coke. To achieve the desired chemical specifications for the different types of silicon metal, it is crucial to control the quality of the raw materials, the furnace temperature (which must exceed 2000°C), the placement of the electrodes, and the composition of the slag. Once melted, the metal is tapped, cleaned - often by ladle treatment or gas purging - and then crushed, sized and sorted to remove impurities and achieve consistent particle size.

 We check every batch of silicon metal that we send out to make sure it is the right quality. We do at least four different tests on each batch. These include spectrometric and chemical analyses.
