HP 350 Graphite Electrode Description
Graphite electrodes are employed in electric furnace steelmaking and ore-thermal electric furnaces for the smelting of alloy steel, brown corundum and other alloys and non-metals. During the electric arc furnace (EAF) steelmaking process, an electric current is introduced through the graphite electrode, which generates an arc in the smelting area. The smelting process commences when the temperature reaches approximately 2000 degrees Celsius.
The HP 350 graphite electrode is characterised by a compact structure, low resistivity and strong resistance to oxidation and corrosion. Furthermore, it exhibits excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, as well as the capacity to withstand substantial current loads.
It can be utilised in industrial electric arc furnaces, steel mills and foundries for casting and smelting processes.
