UHP 300mm Graphite Electrode Description
An ultra-high power graphite electrode (UHP) is a specialized type of electrode utilized in high-power applications. The production of the UHP graphite electrode necessitates the utilisation of high-level needle coke, with the subsequent graphitisation heat treatment conducted within the inner series graphitisation furnace. The graphitisation temperature is as high as 2800-3000°C, which results in a low resistivity and a small linear expansion coefficient. It exhibits excellent thermal shock resistance.
The distinction between regular power graphite electrodes and high-power and ultra-high-power graphite electrodes hinges on the quality of the needle coke used. All 600mm diameter UHP graphite electrodes produced by ZHENAN utilise 100% needle coke, thereby ensuring optimal quality and performance in steelmaking factories.
