Ferrovanadium 40% is an alloy made from iron and vanadium, usually with around 35-40% vanadium. Vanadium makes steel stronger, stiffer and more resistant to corrosion, fatigue and wear. To make ferrovanadium, we reduce vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) with iron in an electric arc furnace. The final ferrovanadium is a metal alloy with great properties that are important for making steel, and the amount of vanadium can be different based on what is needed for the specific application.
