Products Description
The possibility of using aluminum-ferro silicon alloy produced by electric heating as a reducing agent in thermal magnesium refining to replace pure aluminum and silicon iron is explored. The aluminum-silicon-iron alloy can replace pure aluminum as a reducing agent and significantly lower the reaction temperature in thermal magnesium refining. When the iron content is relatively low, the aluminum-silicon-iron alloy can be regarded as an aluminum-silicon binary alloy. When the aluminum content remains unchanged, replacing part of the silicon with iron can increase the aluminum activity of the aluminum-silicon-iron alloy.

1.Ferroalloys are an important raw material in the steelmaking process. In recent years, driven by the rapid development of domestic steel enterprises, ferroalloy companies have also made significant progress. Among them, ferro silicon alloy has seen especially rapid growth. Most silicon iron production enterprises did not fully consider the potential impact on the surrounding environment during the early stages of construction, nor did they have a clear understanding of the price trends of silicon iron, which has posed hidden risks for the development of silicon iron companies. For those companies that can continue production due to meeting dust concentration emissions, the high investment required for dust pollution control during the initial phase, alongside high operational and maintenance costs, has placed a heavy burden on their production. Even more seriously, due to the sharp increase in silicon iron production, the price of silicon iron has dropped, causing some companies to even report losses. For silicon iron production companies, the primary issue is to rectify or rebuild dust removal systems to ensure that dust emissions meet standards and comply with production requirements; secondly, it is to reduce the costs of constructing dust removal systems, to lower operational and maintenance expenses, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the enterprises.
