Fesimg Cored Wire Description
Ferro-silicon-magnesium (FeSiMg) cored wire is a critical material in the production of ductile iron, also known as nodular iron. This type of iron is valued for its superior mechanical properties, such as increased tensile strength and impact resistance. This product consists of a steel shell filled with a mixture of ferrosilicon and magnesium, which are essential for modifying the microstructure of the cast iron. This modification results in the formation of spherical nodules of graphite instead of the lamellar graphite found in grey cast iron, significantly improving the mechanical properties of the iron.
