45% Feti Ferro Titanium Description
45% Feti Ferro Titanium is used as a deoxidiser, degassing agent and carbon-sulphur stabiliser in steelmaking. Titanium deoxidation for the production of killed steel can reduce segregation in the top of the ingot, improve the quality of the steel and increase the yield of the ingot. Titanium and nitrogen dissolved in molten steel can be combined to form stable titanium nitride, which can eliminate the adverse effects of nitrogen on steel properties. Titanium and sulphur in molten steel form titanium sulphide, which can eliminate the formation of ferrous sulphide that causes hot embrittlement.
