1. When there is a small amount of molten iron left in the furnace, add the required amount of carbon additive to the surface of the molten iron at one time, then add scrap steel and press the carbon additive into the molten iron completely to ensure that the carbon additive is in full contact with the molten iron. If the furnace is large and the amount of carbon additive to be added is large, you can add a layer of scrap steel and a layer of carbon additive.
2. Spread a layer of broken steel plates or iron filings on the bottom of the furnace, add the required amount of carbon additive at one time, add the scrap steel charge, and press the carbon additive well. If the furnace is large and the amount of carbon additive to be added is large, you can add a layer of scrap steel and a layer of carbon additive.
3. After the molten iron is melted, the composition can be fine-tuned by adding the carburizer. It can be added to the surface of the molten iron, and the carburizer can be dissolved and absorbed by eddy current stirring or manual stirring of the molten iron during melting in an electric furnace. When batching, try to add enough carburizer at once or add a small amount more. No matter what kind of carburizer it is, if it is added to the surface of the molten iron, the absorption rate will be slow.
