Silicon carbon is a new and innovative material that can be used as a reinforcement agent in steel production and as an effective thermal insulating agent.

It is employed for the purpose of deoxidising. The recommended usage dose is 1-4kg/t, which has been shown to reduce electricity consumption by 15-20kw/h and reduce the time required to raise productivity by 15-20 minutes per furnace, resulting in an 8-10% increase in productivity.

Applications:
1. Silicon carbon is suitable for use as a metallurgical deoxidiser and high-temperature resistant material in smelting.
2. It can also be used as an abrasive material, which can be used to make abrasive tools such as sand paper, abrasive cloth, grinding wheels, oilstones and so on.
