Magnesite Bricks are produced with more than 90% magnesium oxide content as the raw material and periclase as the principal crystalline phase after smashing, mulling, molding, firing and drying in the high temperature.The Magnesite brick is one of the most widely used basic refractory bricks and are made of periclase as the main crystal phase. Different grade magnesites used as raw materials to produce Magnesia bricks of various qualities. Synthetic magnesite and dead burnt magnesite, low in iron, boron and silica are used as raw materials for magnesite brick production. Their categorization is based on the CaO/SiO2 ratio. One reason for the poor Spalling resistance is a high coefficient of thermal expansion. Magnesite has the highest thermal expansion coefficient among all Refractories. Magnesite Bricks can be classified into two types of burnt magnesite bricks and unburnt magnesite bricks.
