High Level Metal Vanadium Nitrogen Alloy

Currently, the determination of phosphorus content in vanadium nitrogen alloys mainly involves: oxidizing vanadium with hydrogen peroxide in an ammonia medium, precipitating phosphorus in the form of iron phosphate, and measuring phosphorus using the molybdenum blue photometric method after filtering out vanadium; the beryllium salt co-precipitation-molybdenum blue spectrophotometric method. Both methods require precipitation separation, are cumbersome to operate, and the precision and accuracy of the analytical results cannot meet the determination of low phosphorus content in vanadium nitride alloys.

1. A method for determining the vanadium content in vanadium-nitrogen alloy. After grinding the sample, it is passed through a 200 mesh sieve, and the sample is taken into a triangular flask. Add H2SO4 (1+4) for hot dissolution, then add nitric acid for oxidation. Add concentrated H3PO4 and heat until sulfuric acid fumes are released, then cool to room temperature. Add (NH4)2Fe(SO4)2 standard solution and titrate with KMnO4 solution until the test solution shows a stable red color that does not fade; then add urea solution and titrate with NaNO2 solution until the red color disappears. Add NaAsO2 solution, let it sit, then add 2-3 drops of CrV indicator, and immediately titrate with ammonium ferrous sulfate standard solution until the test solution changes from cherry red to bright green, indicating the endpoint. Based on the volume of ammonium ferrous sulfate standard solution consumed, the vanadium content in the sample can be calculated. The results for determining vanadium in vanadium-nitrogen alloy are accurate and convenient.
