High Level Alloy Ferro Vanadium

A process for extracting vanadium from vanadium phosphorous iron to produce ferro vanadium, which utilizes vanadium phosphorous iron and high-phosphorus vanadium slag from steelmaking as the main raw materials. It employs electric furnace smelting methods to remove iron and a wet leaching method for vanadium extraction, comprehensively recovering both vanadium and iron. The final product is ferrovanadium, and during the smelting process, further recovery is conducted, transforming the phosphorus slag cake through chemical maturation into phosphate fertilizer. This invention features a simple process, low investment, and a recovery rate of 82 to 65%. The smelting products meet national standards GB4139-87 FeV50A.B and GB4139-87 FeV70A.B, with a qualification rate exceeding 95%.

1.A method for producing ferro vanadium from a low-concentration vanadium solution involves first adjusting the pH of the solution to 5-6, then adding divalent iron ions, and subsequently adjusting the pH of the solution to 7-8.5 to generate a precipitate. Aluminum particles and lime are added to the precipitate, mixed thoroughly, and heated in an induction furnace to react and obtain vanadium iron. The ratio of vanadium to iron in the precipitate can also be adjusted to produce different types of vanadium iron. This method directly uses ferric vanadate precipitate as raw material, simplifies the process steps, and is convenient to operate. The use of divalent iron ions can effectively concentrate vanadium in the solution, making this method particularly suitable for enriching and extracting vanadium from neutral and acidic leachates derived from low-grade vanadium ores after roasting methods such as low sodium, high calcium, calcium method, and barren ores.
