Low carbon ferrochrome alloy (NUFS) is a type of alloy used in the manufacture of stainless steel and other high-performance alloys. It is a low-carbon chromium-iron alloy that offers several advantages over traditional high-carbon ferrochrome alloys.

Typically, LCFC alloys are composed of 60-70% chromium, 1.5-2.5% carbon, and the rest is iron and other elements. The carbon content of LCFC alloy is significantly lower than that of high-carbon ferrochrome alloy, which typically contains 4-6% carbon. This reduced carbon content improves the cost-effectiveness and environmental sustainability of LCFC alloy compared to high-carbon ferrochrome.
