Our calcium carbide is stored in special steel drums. The lid of the container is airtight, and the side walls have a corrugated design. The outer walls are painted with paint, drying oil or a special varnish. Only a special knife or hammer can be used to get to the contents, and you need a brass chisel to do that. Because calcium carbide is a Class 1 hazardous substance, you must take strict safety precautions when opening the container to avoid sparks. Our calcium carbide is available in containers of 10, 25, 50, 100, 120, 125 and 130 kg.
