The production of ferrovanadium in straight cylinder electro-aluminothermic furnaces involves several key steps: lining the furnace, mixing materials, melting, adding supplementary materials, cooling, disassembling the furnace, crushing the ferrovanadium, and packaging it. The mixing and smelting stages are critical to the overall production process. The specific procedures are influenced by the quality of V2O3 and V2O5 and the vanadium quantity. Additional substances like aluminum, iron, and lime are incorporated in specific ratios based on the aluminum content and the grade of ferrovanadium. All materials are then placed in a container, and the mixture is evenly distributed within the furnace, typically involving 4-6 cans of ferrovanadium charge being loaded into the furnace.
