65 Ferrosilicon Cast Steel

Ferrosilicon 65 contains 63-68% silicon, no more than 0.1% carbon, no more than 0.02% sulfur, no more than 0.05% phosphorus, no more than 2.5% aluminum, no more than 0.4% manganese, and no more than 0.4% chromium. Ferrosilicon for metallurgy is an alloy of iron and silicon with a very low content of impurities.The main component is silicon (Si), which gives the alloy the following properties:Elasticity - the ability to return to its original position during compression and bending.High corrosion resistance. Silicon prevents steel from oxidizing and prevents rust.Hardness and resistance to high temperatures.
Ferrosilicon alloys are used as deoxidising and alloying additives in the smelting of spring, electrical, tool, structural, heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant steel, as well as for the modification and alloying of cast iron.
